Books that I liked:
Children's books
- The Neverending Story, Michael Ende (the English translation sucks - where are all the pictures, headings, etc, etc???)
- Raika, Kamui Fujiwara and Yu Terashima (Japonese Manga - only in French and discontinued -- execrable English edition available but also discontinued - stick with the french -, there is also a spanish translation, it seems.)
- Dragonball (manga - actually I only saw the tv series)
- Ranma 1/2,Rumiko Takahashi (Manga)
- The Harry Potter series, JK Rowling
- The Hobbit,Tolkien
- First four volumes of Evangelion,(the tv series are better)
Philosophy books
- Laches,Plato (on courage)
- Politics,Aristotle
- Some of Kant's works (he writes in a complicated way though)
- Some Foucault (specially History of Sexuality, vol.1)
- Some Rawls (some problems with justification of political theory - too much in A Theory of Justiceand perhaps too little in Political Liberalism)
- There are others (like Oakeshott), but this will do.
Religious books
- Tolstoy, The Gospel in Brief
In my early teens
- Milan Kundera and Herman Hesse.
- The Perfume,by Patrick Süskind
